Australia Prime Storage Fund (APSF) is pleased to announce that it has sold its self storage centre located at Carrara (APSF Carrara) in south east Queensland to National Storage for $14m. APSF is 75% owned by the Universal Self Storage Prime Storage Fund.

The USS Prime Storage Fund is developing a state-of-the-art self storage facility at Albion in Brisbane, in conjunction with National Storage. The site is located on the high traffic corridor of Abbotsford Rd, Albion, less than 5 kms from the Brisbane CBD. Construction of the National Storage Albion (NSA) building commenced in May 2016, following extensive piling and site capping works. Building works are now well advanced with completion of the external structure to roof level expected by the end of October.

When completed, NSA will provide over 6,000 sqm of self storage space to a highly intensive residential and commercial catchment area. It will be the first self storage centre in Brisbane to offer humidity controlled storage, providing significant storage benefits to customers with climate sensitive goods (e.g. clothing, furniture, documents, photos etc.). The NSA centre is expected to be open for business in February 2017.

Construction of the Kelvin Grove self storage facility is well underway with the first activities for the main building having commenced in November 2016. All piling and early stage works for the site have been completed.

The Kelvin Grove site is one of the three foundation projects of the Australian Prime Storage Fund, a self storage development venture between USS Prime Storage Fund and National Storage. The highly visible site comprises 4,294 sqm of land area fronting the high traffic corridor of Kelvin Grove Road at Newmarket in Brisbane.

In September 2016 the construction phase of the state of the art self storage centre on the Gold Coast was successfully completed, with trading commencing on 21 September 2016. The centre offers over 5,600 sqm of self storage units, including humidity controlled storage units which is a first for South East Queensland..

The first of USS Prime Storage Fund's foundation projects opened at Carrara on the Gold Coast in September 2016. The construction phase was successfully completed on time and under budget, with National Storage commencing trading on 21 September. This state-of-the-art self storage centre now offers Gold Coast residents and businesses over 5,600 sqm of self storage units, including humidity controlled storage units - a first for South East Queensland. The centre's Box Shop, a prime retail area, offers customers the most extensive range of packaging and storage materials in the area.

The third of the Australia Prime Storage Fund's foundation projects, National Storage Kelvin Grove, opened on 9 November 2017. This state-of-the-art self storage centre features 5,500 sqm of self storage units over five levels.

USS Prime Storage Fund has successfully raised $4m from existing investors to take up additional equity in the Australia Prime Storage Fund (APSF). APSF is raising capital to complete the acquisition of a prime self storage development site in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
